I’m Zlata Veselinovic, the youngest member of Oksigen team. I was born on 17th November 1985 in Banjaluka (birthday and other presents can be sent to Oksigen address that is to be found on this Web site).
Years of suffer in kindergarten (number of years: 5; the missing two I was taken care of by an aunt and my sister) and 8 more years of even more suffer in Laktasi primary school were followed by 4 years of torture in Banjaluka Grammar school (the fact that I was a part of a 100th generation coming out of Banjaluka Grammar school didn’t help much). And just when I though: That’s it, from this point on can only get better., I enrolled at University of Banjaluka, Faculty of Philosophy, Department: Social work. Degree of torture is yet to be determined, since I am a freshman. Full report is to be expected at some point in this decade, the exact date depends on million unknown circumstances. Let’s hope for the best. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
Summer vacations while in Grammar school I was spending volunteering for a German humanitarian organization Kommite fuer Grundrechts und Demokratie, i.e. Committee for Basic Rights and Democracy. As one of their active members on their behalf and for the programmes that involve children for whole Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as other parts of former Yugoslavia, I ask for sponsorship.
In November 2004 I was hired on a short-term basis (4 months) in Oksigen Info and that was my first experience in working on a radio station. The vacancy notice was heard by my sister (Oksigen addict) the last day before deadline expired. Due to structural-orgaisational changes, I was transferred from Info to Administrative, production and other classification-impossible tasks. In addition to that, I am also the editor, sometimes the presenter too, for OksiKids, programme for our youngest listeners.
