The Doors and the Grateful Dead are to receive lifetime achievement
Grammy Awards next year.
The special ceremony will be part of the run-up to the main
Grammy ceremony on February 11.
Folk legend Joan Baez, soul band Brooker T and the MGs and
saxophone player Ornette Coleman will also receive lifetime
achievement awards.
They are traditionally given to artists who were never awarded
Grammys at the height of their careers.
